Our Story
Fulton Consulting Group started with a simple observation: most businesses aren't struggling from a lack of effort, they're struggling because they are missing systems to succeed.
We came at that problem from two directions. Years designing training programs and building curriculum showed how much a business changes when people are actually equipped to do their jobs well. Years in accounting and operations showed how often good businesses run on guesswork, simply because no one set up the financial systems leadership needs to make confident decisions.
Those turned out to be the same problem: businesses need both the systems and the people who can run them.
That's why we started Fulton Consulting Group. We help owners and leaders build financial literacy, set up the reporting systems that give them accurate information, and train their teams to keep it all running. For some clients that's hands-on QuickBooks training and bookkeeping support. For others, it's curriculum design and training program work. For others, it's wider strategic guidance to help leadership steer the business with confidence.
One size has never fit all, which is exactly why we built Fulton with two partners, complementary strengths, and a shared belief that the right systems, run by the right people, change everything.
About the Team
Paul DeBoer, CPA
Josiah DeBoer
For the last few decades, Paul has spent his career in the financial world. Starting his own accounting firm, as well as serving as CFO and Financial Director for multiple organizations. With these experiences comes a unique perspective.
Spreadsheets and financial reports may seem like a foreign language to many of us, but for Paul, each report paints a picture. Or at least, part of a picture. Collectively, the reports tell a story about a business, showcasing the wins and the losses. The successful systems and the gaps that need bridging.
Through this lens and depth of understanding, Paul desires to support businesses with understanding their own stories. Being able to step use these resources provides a holistic perspective on the status of an organization's financial health and security for the future.
Formerly an elementary school teacher, Josiah has spent a large part of his career developing learning experiences that breakdown complex issues into tangible and understandable material.
As a Learning & Development professional, he strives to bridge the learning gaps and create content that is accessible for all learning styles.
